February Winter Walks – Let’s Go!
Join us on our annual Super Bowl Sunday walk from the Slocum’s River to the Westport River. This 5 ½ mile hike crosses conservation and privately owned land ending at the Westport Rivers Winery for a wine tasting followed by a bus ride back to your car. $10 suggested donation per car to support completion of Slocum’s to Westport River Greenway. The Winery will be open for wine tasting at an additional charge. Super Bowl Sunday, February 5 from 12noon to 3pm. Meet at Slocum’s River Reserve on Horseneck Road in Dartmouth.
The Let is a conservation area normally accessible from the water’s edge only, so here is a chance to have special access through adjoining private property. Hike or snowshoe this 62-acre property that stretches between Horseneck Road and the southern end of the East Branch of the Westport River. View Ram’s Head Island from a different perspective! Sunday, February 19 from 1pm to 3pm. Meet at Sylvan Nursery parking lot at 1pm.
